In things generally unrelated to children or babies or housework, I bring you, dum dum dum...knitting!!
This little number has been up my sleeve for a few months, but its recipient only received it this weekend.
The pattern is Foliage from Knitty. The hand warmers are my own pattern, knit from the top down, using the lace pattern from the Foliage hat on the cuff. The yarn is Rowan pure wool 4 ply held treble. The colour is Honey and I love it. I was never really a yellow person, but something recently has really drawn me to this burnt ochre hue. I bought 8 or 9 balls of this in a sale and I have tons left for more sunny projects.
Anyway, the hat was a hit with the recipent and the recipient is ALWAYS a hit with one small boy.
