Wandering around the park on a Sunday afternoon with toddler and camera strung around my neck reminded me of a childhood poem. What are the colours of sunday's child?
Mondays child is fair of face,
Always ready to be entertaining and with a clean face for once, the best poser a daddy could ask for.
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Tackling those park obstacles with new shoes from Tantie and some toddler confidence from wherever toddler confidence comes from.
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
"Woe dada, that camera is mine!"
Thursdays child has far to go,
The sky is in the pool. Thanks for the Scottish weather gods for always providing the best puddles with the best views of the sky for imaginative young boys.
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Thrilled that his Tantie is back!
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
Steamy homemade pizza and steam trains make for busy hands.
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.
Pure unadulterated Ellis spreading his wings, the perfect sunday child takes advantage of the brief rain break.
