Well, hello there! How are you doing?
I am surprisingly well. I say surprising, as have averaged about 4 hours sleep a night throughout the last few weeks. I am sort of surprised I am still standing, but as much work as it was, Blogtacular was amazing and a sheer joy to be a part of. And while I still need time to process it all, its through the incredible energy in this awesome online community that means I haven't collapsed in a heap somewhere.
This weekend was the first time ever we've left the kids with anyone else. I really wanted Kevin to come to Blogtacular with me, and though I was a wee bit nervous about it, Kev's dad graciously and wonderfully took care of 3 children, 1 dog, 35 chickens, 6 ducks, 2 geese, 3 turkeys, and 1 cat for 3 days (and crucially, didn't run out the door the moment we arrived back).
And as great as the weekend was, it was pure bliss driving back down our country lane and spending time with my menagerie again. I swear they all grew and Ellis has extra freckles and Georgia has become even more adorable and Theo even more creative than I remembered.
I woke up this morning wishing it was summer break already, but we still have 2 weeks of school and nursery and associated end of term activities. And with so much to catch up on work wise, its probably good I have a bit of working time left.
So, if you were expecting an email or response to anything, I am slowly working my way through them.
